Pathology

Our Pathology Department is a core part of every diagnosis made at Life Diagnostic Centre. By examining samples such as blood, urine, stool, and tissue, our pathologists help referring doctors detect infections, diseases, and a wide range of other health conditions — accurately, and in most cases the same day.

The department is organised into five main sections:

• Hematology — blood tests and the diagnosis of blood disorders.
• Clinical Biochemistry — testing blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, and other chemical markers.
• Microbiology — detection of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms.
• Histopathology — microscopic examination of tissue and organ samples.
• Clinical Pathology — examination of urine, stool, and other body fluids.
