Accessibility Statement

Life Diagnostic Centre is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including patients with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities, and people using assistive technology. We know that report access in particular needs to work reliably for everyone.

1. Conformance Target

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized standard for accessible websites. This site has been checked with automated accessibility-testing tools across its pages, and issues found have been corrected where practical. Automated testing cannot catch every issue, so we also rely on manual review and, most importantly, direct feedback from patients (Section 4).

2. What We've Built In

• Semantic page structure and landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) so screen readers can navigate the page logically.
• A visible, unique page heading on every page.
• Descriptive labels on the Report Portal and Contact forms, with clear error messages.
• Text and layout that resize and reflow on phones, tablets, and desktops without losing content.
• A colour palette checked for adequate text/background contrast.
• Keyboard-operable navigation menus and interactive elements.

3. Known Limitations

We believe in being upfront about what isn't perfect yet rather than claiming full compliance. Currently known issues include:

• Some form-field borders have lower visual contrast than the recommended minimum for users with low vision, even though the text itself passes contrast requirements. We are aware of this and plan to address it.
• Embedded third-party content (such as a location map) is provided by an outside service and may not fully meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the site.
• Not every page has yet been tested on real assistive-technology hardware, as opposed to automated tools — this is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.

4. Feedback and Assistance

If you use assistive technology and find something on this site difficult to use, or if you need your report in an alternative format, please tell us — we treat this as a priority, not a routine enquiry:

If you are unable to complete the online Report Portal for any reason, our staff can also help you retrieve your report by phone or in person, using the same identity checks we use online.

5. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time fix. As we add new pages and features to this site, we review them against WCAG 2.1 AA before and after launch, and we update this statement whenever our understanding of the site's accessibility changes.
